I
was born in Cork, Ireland, and brought up in London and Dublin.
Apart from drawing, I love to travel. Since meeting my husband
in Madagascar, I have resided in Norway, UK, Dubai and Kuwait.
I have two teenage sons and currently living in Geneva,
Switzerland.
Having
drawn portraits exclusively in graphite pencil for many years,
I recently turned to colour. My first love is for faces, but I
also enjoy drawing animals, particularly cats and dogs.
Recently, I have been able to dedicate more time to my drawing,
which has allowed me to explore colour and develop a technique
that is less time-consuming.
While
living in Kuwait, I started a blog about my unusual
environment. This inspired me to take photographs and draw
subjects that are more personal to me as an illustration of my
life.
In
May 2008 I exhibited in Geneva, Switzerland. I am also
contributing drawings to several issues of a local magazine.
You
can find more of my artwork on my blog Sketches
by Fiz or
